The walking foot works well, and being able to sew in any direction by turning the foot is really handy.
Like most will say, you gotta know what you're getting into when you buy this. It takes a little work to learn and get it running smoothly. Check out YouTube or the FB pages and you should quickly learn all bout this machine.Out of the box, the only real "fix" i needed to make was to adjust the bobbin arm (not the right term, but I don't know it). It had gotten bumped out of alignment in shipping and the needle didn't line up with the bobbing hole. Just needed to loosen some screws, adjust and then tighten back up. After that I had this thing stitching right off the bat.The biggest thing is you will need to get used to adjusting the tension. Once you get the hang of that you're golden.Lots of folks complained about the tripod. I found it to be sturdy (put two legs toward the front, not like the picture). But, the height of it, i found, was inconvenient for most situations, so I made mynown stand out of cut up 2x4.I didn't have to sand anything down. I might do that to the presser foot at some point. It does come very oily, I wiped it down. Really not other mods to run it for me, other than a thread stand. The bobbin winder can be a little finicky, but the bobbins are a weird size, so there's are not a ton of "out of the box" solutions. Once I got the hang of bobbing winding on the machine, not a big deal. So, I know this is a positive review filled with explanations about the quirks of the machine, but I just wanted to be plain about what you get. I love it. Got it running fast. Does what I need it to.Only complaint is that I ordered a silver machine. This was like a failed painting it green so let's call it silver. It looks like they started painting it green and gave up haha. I dont mind, buy FYI. You might just want to get a full green oneIt needs a little work to run smoothly but once you clean up the burrs and grease and correct any small timing issues; it runs beautifully and you really can't beat it for the price. This machine is easy to use, very basic and simple. The comments and tutorials from you tube videos helped a great deal - from setup to tips on resolving issues. Quick hints: create a base (I used leftover board and an old shelf), magnet to retrieve bobbin from case, cordless drill to wind thread to bobbin. With practice, trial and error, this machine is easy to use. I prefer to sew leather material projects in this manual sewing machine than my electric heavy duty one. I recommend this product. When you receive this machine, you will realize that they sink it in dirty oil before packaging. You must spend time to clean it, Prior to touch. If you spend time to grease the contact spots, the Machine will work much smoother than oil. Unfortunately, this machine has a lot of sharp edges that can cause Severe problems such as cutting the thread. So, you must spend a lot of time to file and sand these sharp edges. If you were lucky, this machine will work for you Without bothering you. If you were not lucky, you must spend a lot of time to figure the problem out. But in the end, you will have a Robust Lovely machine. So, if you are patient and have enough time, buy this machine. But if you are in hurry, or do not have time, do not buy this machine. One more thing: they have a very good customer service. If you face ANY problem, they solve your problem and will make sure that you are 100% satisfied. Good Luck.Osea cose varios tipos de materiales pero suelas de caja y sus laterales no! Es casi imposibleFirst And Foremost this machine needs a lot of cleaning out of the box. It has a lot of sharp edges that need to be filed and it needs a stand built because the legs are not great. The bobbins need to be thoroughly polished. That being said after all the work it will sew beautifully and will sew VERY thick leather. 3 peices of 7-8oz veg tan no problem. I am happy with it now but once again it needs so much work to get it there. For the money, (especially since Electric sewing machines are $2k or more) this machine is well worth the money and the time that goes into fixing it in my opinion. 4 times as fast as hand sewing.Interesting little machine - it takes a little bit to get use to and watching youtube videos on setup is a must. There wasn't much "tunning" to do to it. The entire thing was covered in oil to keep it from rusting, which if you aren't careful will get on everything it touches. The thread for the first 30 feet will also come out brown after being fed through all the tensioners because of the oil.All of that said, it is perfect for sewing 3D parts that you can't do on a normal flat sewing machine. I was able to repair some hockey gloves with this machine fairly easily. For the money, I suppose it’s ok. The worst part of this machine is figuring out how to set it up and use it. The manual is garbage. It might as well not have come with a manual. It’s poorly worded (bad English) with no diagrams. I set it up by watching YouTube. Over a week later, I’m still watching YouTube videos to trouble shoot because the entire machine was set up all wonky as in the timing is all off and not just the bobbin casing timing, the cams are all out of whack and so is the lower arm that controls the bobbin. I’m getting really close to returning it now that I am realizing that mechanically it’s not put together right. It might have been worth the little extra change to go to a sewing shop and order one through the store to ensure it was put together correct. This has not been a fun experience.
